The 2011 AZ Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) Workforce Diversity Awards is proud to continue its partnership and association with the Diversity Leadership Alliance (DLA) and Jobing.com!

This year the awards will be presented in conjunction with 2011 DLA's Conference at the Downtown Sheraton Resort on Tuesday, October 19th. This half-day event will feature top speakers, outstanding entertainment, and awards celebration.  The awards began nine years ago, when the East Valley Human Resources Association (EVHRA) and Metro Phoenix Human Resource Association (now Valley of the Sun Human Resource Association - VSHRA) each participated in a Human Resources based Diversity Best Practices Award called the "CAMI".

In 2003, this award was revived thanks to a partnership between the EVHRA, VSHRA, AZSHRM State Council and our business partner, Jobing.com.

In 2004, the award was expanded by the addition of the DLA partnership, and is now proudly representative of best practices in diversity and inclusion for the entire State of Arizona. Last year the awards highlighted the finalists, and celebrated the practices of three businesses and one diversity champion.

The categories and criteria for the 2011 awards include:

An additional award will be presented recognizing one individual (Diversity Champion) who has set an example as a leader and innovator in creating and/or encouraging workplace and community diversity and inclusion.

Companies who are multi-state are encouraged to apply along with all local Arizona Employers. Your entry will be evaluated on your practices and achievements in Arizona only and a winner is not guarenteed in all categories.
